(143) The Little Children and Jesus

Matthew 19:13-15, Mark 10:13-16, Luke 18:15-17

[A]Then they brought to Him little children and infants, so that He might touch them with His hands and pray for them. But when the disciples saw this, they rebuked those who brought the young children. [B]But when Jesus saw the disciples doing this, He was very displeased, and He called them and said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not forbid them; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Yes, for of such is the kingdom of God. [C]Truly, I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”

[D]And He took them up in His arms, put His hands on them, and blessed them. Then He left from there.
