(173) Watch and be Ready for His Coming

Mark 13:33-37, Luke 21:34-36

[A]“Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. Be on guard, lest your hearts be overcome with carousing, drunkenness, and the cares of this life, and that day come on you unexpectedly. [B]For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. [C]It is like a man taking a long journey, who left his house and gave authority to his servants. He gave every man a task and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. [D]Therefore you watch, for you do not know when the Master of the house is coming -- in the evening, at midnight, at the cockcrowing, or in the morning. [E]So watch, lest coming suddenly, He find you sleeping. [F]And what I say to you, I say to all: Watch!

[G]“Therefore watch, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

(173) Watch and be Ready for His Coming

Mark 13:33-37, KJV

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

(173) Watch and be Ready for His Coming

Luke 21:34-36, KJV

34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
